Shello there! I’m Mermaid Cassidy, a sparkly, certified mermaid performer based in Southeastern Michigan, bringing waves of magic to every event. Whether I’m dazzling in a mermaid tank, flipping my fins at a beachside bash, or swimming around a pool, my goal is to create unforgettable, fin-tastical memories for kids and kids-at-heart.
With my SSI Mermaid certification, performers insurance, and multiple water safety credentials, I bring professionalism and a splash of fairytale charm to every event. From shimmering crowns to sparkly accessories, I dive into every performance with heart, glitter, and ocean-sized enthusiasm.
As the proud SeaEO of Mermaid Cassidy LLC, I offer magical appearances tailored to birthdays, festivals, school programs, and more, all with a healthy dose of mermaid magic. I’m also a trusted performer for other respected companies, including Windy City Mermaids and Mythos Mermaids, bringing my sparkle to events across the Great Lakes and beyond.
The Story Behind The Tails
Once upon a tide... a little girl met her first mermaid at the Michigan Renaissance Festival, and something magical clicked. That little girl was me, and I never forgot the joy and wonder of that day. Years later, after watching the Netflix documentary MerPeople, I decided it was finally time to grow my own fins and create some magic of my own.
I started mermaiding as a hobby in May 2024 and officially launched Mermaid Cassidy LLC in July 2025. With a love for all things glittery, pastel, and princessy, I created a brand that’s girly, whimsical, and ocean-inspired, just like me!
The best part of being Mermaid Cassidy? Seeing the look on someone’s face when they realize they’re meeting a real mermaid. It’s pure sea magic. And as for my favorite sea creature? That would be the sweet, gentle manatee, which is why they swim throughout my branding like loyal lagoon companions.
