From the Mermaid’s Cove
These Terms and Conditions constitute the official booking policy and legally binding contract for all services provided by Mermaid Cassidy LLC.
By submitting a booking request, making a payment, or receiving services from Mermaid Cassidy LLC, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions, including the Release of Liability and Indemnity Agreement, and you affirm that you are at least 18 years of age and authorized to enter this agreement on behalf of the event. Booking with Mermaid Cassidy LLC constitutes full acceptance of these Terms and Conditions.

1. Services
Mermaid Cassidy LLC provides original mermaid entertainment experiences, including appearances, performances, and other magical experiences (“Services”). All Services are offered independently and are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by any major theme park or entertainment company. Specific activities are determined by the package booked and by safety conditions on the day of the event. Services may be reasonably modified at the discretion of Mermaid Cassidy LLC to maintain safety, professionalism, and the quality of the guest experience. Additional activities such as bubbles, glitter tattoos, or specialty skills are included only when expressly stated in the selected package.
2. Bookings and Payments

Reservations are accepted on a first come, first served basis.

A 25% non-refundable booking deposit and a signed booking contract are required to hold an event date.

The remaining balance is due no later than one week before the scheduled event.

Bookings are not confirmed until both the deposit and signed contract have been received by Mermaid Cassidy LLC.

Deposits are non-refundable. At the discretion of Mermaid Cassidy LLC, a deposit may be transferred to a future date subject to availability.

If the final balance is not received by the due date, Mermaid Cassidy LLC reserves the right to release the date or consider the booking canceled by the client.

Client requested changes to the event date, time, location, or services may result in additional fees or a revised balance.

3. Rescheduling and Cancellations

If a client needs to reschedule, Mermaid Cassidy LLC will make reasonable efforts to offer an alternate date subject to availability.

For client initiated cancellations, the booking deposit remains nonrefundable but may be applied to a future date at the discretion of Mermaid Cassidy LLC.

If a client cancels within seven days of the event date, the full contracted balance remains due.

Rescheduled events are subject to current availability and any price changes in effect at the time of the new date.

Mermaid Cassidy LLC reserves the right to cancel or reschedule due to unforeseen circumstances including weather, illness, emergency, or unsafe conditions.

In the event Mermaid Cassidy LLC must cancel, the client will be offered either a full refund of all payments made or a rescheduled date.

4. Swimming and Safety

Swimming may be included at events longer than 30 minutes when water safety, weather, and the location setup allow.

Mermaid Cassidy is not a substitute for a lifeguard. Lifeguard services are the responsibility of the client.

If children will be swimming alongside Mermaid Cassidy, at least one sober adult must be present for every five children.

Adult supervision is required throughout the entirety of Mermaid Cassidy's appearance.
-
For everyone’s safety, children may not climb on or ride Mermaid Cassidy at any time.

Mermaid Cassidy LLC reserves the right to refuse or stop swimming if the water appears unsafe, is too cold, too shallow, or otherwise does not meet safety standards.

In the event that Mermaid Cassidy and/or her mer-wrangler is harassed, threatened, or otherwise made to feel unsafe, they reserve the right to leave the event immediately with no refund given.

Clients are responsible for providing a safe environment and following all safety instructions provided by Mermaid Cassidy.

5. Travel and Event Requirements

Mermaid Cassidy primarily serves locations within 30 miles of her home grotto in Dearborn Heights.
-
Events outside of this range may be accommodated for a small travel fee, including mileage, parking fees, and tolls.
-
For events located more than two hours from Mermaid Cassidy’s home grotto, overnight accommodations may be required.
-
Mermaid Cassidy requires a private area to “tail up” and prepare for her grand entrance, ideally a room with a lock or a quiet space away from guests to preserve the magic.
-
Safe and unobstructed access to the performance area is required, as well as any necessary power, shade, or setup depending on the event.

6. Promotions and Discounts

Mermaid Cassidy occasionally offers sales and discounts at her discretion, announced on her social media pages.
-
Each promotion is subject to its own terms, including duration, availability, and applicable event types.
-
Discounts cannot be applied to bookings that have already been made and remain subject to standard non-refundable deposit policies.
-
Only one promotion may be applied per event, and promotions have no cash value.

7. Intellectual Property
-
All content on the Mermaid Cassidy LLC website, including text, images, videos, logos, and designs, is owned by Mermaid Cassidy LLC or used with permission.
-
Clients may not copy, reproduce, or use any content without express written consent.
-
Characters portrayed are original or fairytale-inspired look-alike creations intended for entertainment purposes. Any resemblance to copyrighted characters is purely coincidental.

Clients may take personal photos for private use only. Images may not be used for commercial purposes or advertising without written permission from Mermaid Cassidy LLC.

8. Photography and Media

While Mermaid Cassidy LLC strives to create a magical experience, Mermaid Cassidy LLC is not responsible for accidents, injuries, or unexpected issues that occur during the event.

Mermaid Cassidy LLC is not responsible for injuries caused by guests, venue conditions, allergic reactions, or circumstances outside of its control.
-
If something goes wrong, Mermaid Cassidy LLC’s responsibility is limited to the amount paid for the booking.

9. Limitation of Liability

While Mermaid Cassidy LLC strives to create a magical experience, Mermaid Cassidy LLC is not responsible for accidents, injuries, or unexpected issues that occur during the event.

Mermaid Cassidy LLC is not responsible for injuries caused by guests, venue conditions, allergic reactions, or circumstances outside of its control.

If something goes wrong, Mermaid Cassidy LLC’s responsibility is limited to the amount paid for the booking.
10. Release of Liability and Indemnity

By booking or attending a Mermaid Cassidy LLC event, you agree to the following:

You have read, understand, and agree to all terms and conditions listed in the Mermaid Cassidy LLC contract and Terms of Service.

On your own behalf, and on behalf of your children and guests, you assume full responsibility for supervision of all event attendees.
-
You release Mermaid Cassidy LLC, its owner, and any employees or assistants from any and all liability for losses, injuries, or damages arising directly or indirectly from the event, whether occurring on or off the premises during the booked party.

You agree to reimburse Mermaid Cassidy LLC for any damages, losses, or expenses caused by attendees at the event.

You agree to inform all guests of these terms and ensure that minors attending the event are supervised in accordance with these terms.
